Short but sweet post for you all today! First of all, can you believe that Christmas is only THREE days away? I hope that whatever emotions this holiday season evokes within you, you are able to find love, warmth, and joy from your FIT4MOM Grand Rapids village. We are so incredibly thankful for each and every one of you.
Since we aren't offering Saturday classes during our "inside months", I wanted to extend a little Christmas Eve workout challenge to you all. I am not very good at motivating myself to workout at home but when I have a little fire under my bum (i.e. when I was doing Body Back & public challenges like this), it helps me immensely. I searched "holiday movie workout" and found this one that I'll be doing on Christmas Eve at some point while my boys are watching this movie:
The Grinch movie workout
10 Pushups--each time "The Grinch" song is played
5 Burpees--every time the Grinch steals something
15 Tricep Dips--each time you hear a made up word
1 minute of Jumping Jacks--every time the narrator says a word containing "who"
25 Plie Squats--each time the Grinch flashes a creepy smile
And, of course, don't forget to warm up before the movie starts and cool down at the end!
You don't have to do that same workout but I certainly appreciate that it's interacting with a Christmas movie AND the movie is only about 30-40 minutes long. ;-) A quick internet search will bring up plenty of workout options and, hey, make it fun!
